At the Retreat

This is one of the Swag Bags made by the committee members. So pretty with the b/w Cotton & Steel.

Work room activity. Oh, yes, the machines were humming all weekend - starting at 630am and going until 1:30am. Lots of creativity, sharing, learning, gabbing and making blocks for the opportunity quilt.

And some show, tell and discussions:

And then there was food as well - cooked by the wonderful chef of 26-years at Hidden Valley. Desserts with every meal and a wine tasting hour with some beautiful cheeses on Saturday night.

Another Teaser

In less than 4 weeks, it's Retreat time. Thus, I thought it's time for another teaser picture:
Swag bag sampler!

Our sponsors have been so extremely generous to fill every swag bag -- which are being made by your fellow guilt members: the extraordinary retreat committee members.

And then there are door prizes:

Each attendee will have opportunities to win the larger prizes. As a new guilt, we are using this chance to raise money by selling tickets for the door prizes at $2 each. It's worth it, the door prize value are up to $120 and at least $35. And you are guaranteed a swag bag (valued >$20)

The raised money will help get speakers and teachers for workshops to continue our learning of the modern quilting art.

Thank you, Thank you!!!!

A month away

With just about a month before the retreat, it's time for a post to get you even  more excited. We have been receiving a lot of sponsorship from vendors and stores to help make our retreat even more fun and successful. Look at all these goodies:

These wonderful items will be door prizes and also going into each attendees swag bag. Yes, what would a retreat be without a trinket to remember it by?
